Fire Department

Recycling/Trash
Stay informed with our updated recycling and trash management process. We now offer a simplified system where you can use a “Recyclables Only” sticker on any approved 45-gallon or smaller can—eliminating the need for a separate recycling bin. Additionally, this section includes basic details on pick-up schedules and contact information should you encounter any service issues.

Assessing
The Township Assessor establishes property assessments per Michigan law by maintaining records, processing exemption requests, and inspecting properties. Taxable values determined are used by the Township Treasurer to produce tax bills, and appraisal records—including sketches, photos, and tax details—are available for free online at www.sagagis.org. Change of assessment notices are mailed annually before the March Board of Review; please refer to the Township Calendar for meeting details.
